I
grew up just off Hwy 30 on what is now Zittraur Rd right before
where it meets with Hwy 17 at Marlow Elementary School and the
Zion Lutheran Church. I'm the Great-Granddaughter of Edward and
Deweese Zittraur and Grand Daughter of Frank and Georgia Johnson
(my mom is Babs). I left in 1985 to live with my Dad and I came
back for a year and then left. Now I am married and have kids of
my own. We have been back to visit often because we lived in SC
for about 6 yrs. So much had changed when we left in 2001. We are
in Alaska now and boy am I homesick. I would appreciate it very
much if anyone would send me pictures of that area.

graduated from ECHS in 1981. I Have been out of the county for 17
years but still have contact with some people. I actually lived in
Faulkville but there was no listing for that part of Effingham
County. I am looking for the school colors of Effingham Academy.

I lived in N.C. and Richmond Hill
before making my home in Lyons Georgia (Toombs Co.) for the past
12 years with my husband, Brad and our 2 daughters, Kristin 15 and

currently finished my Associate in Arts Degree at Valencia
Community College and transferring to University of Central

Briggs My Maiden Name is Dotson. My parents are Jerry and Dianne
Dotson and my Daddy owns The Swamp Fox Store on HWY 30. My Moms
name is Linda Lamb .I grew up on Hwy 30 and love that area .I got
Married to Rodney Briggs in 1983 and moved to Nashville in 1993 .
We have just moved back here in April and now live in Richmond
Hill. My Brother Jody owns a lawn products shop right behind the
swamp fox. My Mothers Father is Sick and I'm looking for a cousin
that lives somewhere up in Effingham. His name is James Gerrald.

the Effingham Co. Board of Education. In 1995 we moved to Forsyth,
GA (near Macon) to be closer to her family. We have a
lot of fond memories of Effingham schools and the town in which

I was Brenda Paul and
a 98 grad of ECHS. Then I attendend GSU before becoming a
paraeducator for a special education kindergarten class. Now I am
happily married to Bryan, who is a SGT in the US ARMY and we live
in Lakewood Washington. I just recieved my degree in bridal
consulting and event planning and am working on finishing my BBA.
I am also the fundraising coordinator for the FRG with the ARMY. I
cant wait to come home to GA. |

I lived in Effingham
from 1947 to 1965, graduating from ECHS in 65. BS and MS from
Georgia Tech. I am a clinical chemist for Emory University
Hospital in Atlanta and I have lived in the nearby town of Conyers
for the past 27 years. In 1965 automobile tags had a population
center number for the county with Chatham being number 3. I think
Effingham was 155. How things change! |

I am a living
example that Jesus works miracles. My husband and I live in
Fitzgerald, GA. He pastors a church in Tifton, GA and I'm now a
housewife after spending 10 years in the administrative side of
law enforcement. I have been blessed with a wonderful family
that reside in Effingham County off Blue Jay Rd (the Webb's and
the Ray's). I have two sons Alex and Chris and three grandchild
Brooke Nease, Warren Nease and Alyssa Nease. |

I lived in Guyton,
Georgia almost a year and I went to South Effingham Middle School.
I had a wonderful boyfriend named Tyler Schoonover until DFACS
made me move to Texas. I had a great time at that school and I
would do anything in the world to go back. I loved my teachers
(Mrs. Amy Duke, Mrs. Shelly Hobbs, Mrs,Ann Cook). I moved away in
2005. If my teachers read this at some point please write back. |
